Job summary

Armstrong World Industries in Macon, GA seeks a seasoned Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) leader to guide the plant's safety initiatives, compliance programs and risk reduction efforts. You will develop and implement management systems aligned with company guidelines and the plant's vision.

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Management, Engineering.
• 3+ years of applied EHS experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with environmental permitting, recordkeeping and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant in achieving a sustainable safety culture and incident reduction.
• Ensure compliance with EPA/OSHA/state regulations and internal policies.
• Provide knowledge of key OSHA regs and environmental standards.
• Lead safety and environmental improvement projects with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and maintain policies and recordkeeping for compliance.
• Interface with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor regulations related to hazardous materials and agents.
• Investigate equipment and ensure safeguards are in place.
• Support Armstrong sustainability initiatives.
• Lead safety leadership team and plant committees.
