Job summary

Viatris in the United States is seeking a Manager EHS to lead environmental, health and safety programs at the site, coordinating and maintaining policies that comply with Federal, State and Local codes and corporate standards. You will ensure timely regulatory reporting and drive safety performance across operations.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Safety and Environmental, 3–5 years of relevant experience, with Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Safety and Environmental.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in environmental, occupational health, or safety arena.
• Master’s Degree preferred with 1-3 years additional experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, EPA, DOT, and IATA regulations.
• SOPs, FDA regulations and cGMPs understanding.
• RCRA and HazMat certifications and training.

Responsibilities

• Manage development, coordination and maintenance of EH&S policies and programs.
• Submit required regulatory reports in a timely manner.
• Investigate causes of workplace injuries and illnesses.
• Investigate industrial incidents and prepare corrective action reports.
• Lead safety training and site safety council activities.
• Oversee Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Waste programs and reporting.
• Ensure proper packaging, labeling and shipping for HazMat as needed.
• Observe workers for proper use of safety equipment and PPE.
• Direct monthly meetings with EH&S teams and contractors.
