Job summary

Western Pneumatic Tube Co., a division of AeroFlow Technologies, seeks an EH&S Manager to establish and promote a safe working environment and ensure regulatory compliance at the plant level. You will lead environmental and safety planning, audits, training, and incident investigations across WA/EPA and OSHA requirements.

You will coordinate with HR and supervisors, manage reporting, and drive continuous improvement in hazard prevention and safety culture.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and execute tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor of Science in Occupation Safety and/or Environmental or related field, preferred.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in EHS roles involving leading, coaching employees, or Safety Committee membership.
• Ability to interact with all levels of employees.
• Excellent leadership abilities and knowledge of OSHA & EPA requirements.
• Knowledge of Washington State laws and L&I requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage Environmental, Safety & Health programs and regulations.
• Provide guidance to managers and supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with EH&S standards, regulations, codes, and constraints.
• Handle reporting for City, State, and Federal compliance.
• Oversee environmental operations, wastewater treatment, and hazardous materials handling.
• Maintain permits and filings; ensure timely submissions.
• Manage L&I/Workers Compensation with HR and plant Supervisors.
• Act as primary contact for incident reporting and hazard elimination.
• Track lost work time and return-to-work initiatives.
• Develop and conduct EH&S training to improve performance.
• Conduct audits and inspections to identify gaps and corrective actions.
• Lead emergency preparedness, crisis management, and workers compensation support.
• Provide strategic direction for hazard prevention and control.
• Lead PPE hazard assessments and enforce requirements.
• Implement and maintain behavior-based safety programs.
• Recommend measures to protect workers from hazards.
• Maintain records and reporting mechanisms for leadership.
