Job summary

Ajinomoto Foods North America, Inc. is seeking an experienced Environment Health & Safety Manager at the Lampasas plant. You will lead safety programs, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulations across manufacturing operations.

The role requires a 5+ year background in EHS, OSHA 30, and strong leadership and communication skills to drive continuous improvement. This is a full-time on-site position at the Lampasas facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety or STEM related discipline required.
• Minimum of five years in an environmental, health and safety role required.
• Minimum three years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• OSHA 30 course required.
• Knowledge of auditing processes (ISO, OSHA, or equivalent) preferred.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Must be a self-starter with ability to work alone or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate plant safety programs and recommend updates to safety practices.
• Review procedures and provide input for safety and health considerations.
• Participate in process reviews, including hazard analyses and operator training.
• Develop and maintain training records and renewal calendars with FSQA and HR.
• Conduct risk assessments related to jobs and new equipment introductions.
• Develop and maintain equipment-specific LOTO procedures and train employees.
• Assist with administrative programs for SDS, lockout/out procedures and OSHA reporting.
• Support Behavior Based Safety (BBS) with data, coaching and supervisor support.
• Review injury/illness and near-miss reports and follow up as necessary.
• Support incident case management and lead post-accident investigations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory EHS requirements (PSM, RMP, SWPPP).
• Perform audits to ensure safety program compliance and drive improvements.
• Provide technical support to ensure compliance with federal/state safety laws.
• Engage in TPM to support continuous improvement.
• Track and report monthly Safety Scorecard metrics.
• Collaborate with Production/Operations to optimize procedures and data.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
