Job summary

Shirley Parsons is seeking an EHS Manager to join a leading food manufacturing plant near Lampasas, TX. The role focuses on strengthening the site's safety culture and ensuring environmental, health, and safety practices meet regulatory and company standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety or a related technical discipline (required).
• 5-7+ years of EHS experience, including at least 3 years in management within food/industrial manufacturing.
• Strong communication and hands-on leadership to influence staff and management.
• On-site role near Lampasas, TX with no remote/hybrid option.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant-level EHS programs and implement improvements to strengthen workplace safety.
• Conduct risk assessments and maintain controls including LOTO procedures.
• Oversee incident/near-miss investigations with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Monitor OSHA and environmental compliance (PSM, RMP, SWPPP) and report on performance.

A leading food manufacturing company is looking to add an EHS Manager to its plant leadership team near Lampasas, TX. This person will help strengthen the site’s safety culture while ensuring environmental, health, and safety practices meet regulatory and company standards. The role offers an opportunity to partner closely with operations and influence safety performance across the facility.

The Role

• Lead plant-level EHS programs, identifying risks and implementing practical improvements to strengthen workplace safety.
• Conduct job and equipment risk assessments and ensure appropriate controls, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, are established and maintained.
• Oversee incident and near-miss investigations, including root-cause analysis and corrective actions designed to prevent recurrence.
• Monitor compliance with applicable OSHA and environmental requirements, including programs such as PSM, RMP, and SWPPP.
• Partner with Operations, HR, and quality teams on employee training, safety audits, performance reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The Candidate

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety or a related technical discipline (required)
• 5-7+ years of EHS work experience, ideally including at least 3 years management experience within a food or industrial manufacturing environment.
• Strong communicator and hands-on leader who can influence employees and management while independently driving safety initiatives.
• Based locally near Lampasas, TX and happy working on site at the plant daily (this role does not support remote/hybrid work)
