Job summary

Hexcel in Burlington, WA is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead site programs ensuring a safe, compliant and efficient operation. You will partner with site leadership to develop, implement and monitor EHS initiatives across the plant, driving a zero-incident culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science or related field.
• 7+ years of EHS experience in an industrial setting.
• Experience coordinating a variety of regulatory compliance actions (permits, inspections, corrective actions).
• Experience in root cause/corrective action methodologies.
• Knowledge and experience implementing ISO 14001 or 45001 management systems.
• Experience coordinating Process Safety Management (PSM) activities; familiarity with HAZOP/PHA preferred.
• Regulatory knowledge in OSHA, EPA, RCRA, and PSM preferred.
• Professional certification preferred (CSP, CIH).
• Ability to excel in cross-functional teams; strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage EHS programs and initiatives at the site.
• Influence leadership to support EHS actions and continuous improvement.
• Engage with employees to advance EHS culture.
• Interact with government agencies, EHS groups, and stakeholders.
• Work with leadership to optimize EHS protections and procedures.
• Develop actions to drive EHS continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance through inspections, audits and SOP reviews.
• Maintain environmental management systems and permits compliance.
• Lead efforts to obtain/maintain ISO 14001/45001 certification.
• Provide risk assessments for new processes and capital investments.
• Promote safety through data, meetings and feedback.
• Define problems, root causes, and action plans with operations.
