Job summary

Hexcel in Kent, WA is seeking a Safety Engineer to support the site EHS improvement plan and ensure regulatory compliance. You will develop, implement and audit safety programs, assist the EHS Manager with OSHA compliance and ISO 45001 management systems, and promote a positive safety culture.

The role includes incident data analysis, corrective action tracking, training updates, and collaboration with operations to reduce risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety/Environmental Engineering or related technical field.
• 2+ years of related experience as a safety coordinator or engineer in an industrial manufacturing facility.
• Strong technical and oral/written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Professional credential such as CSP, ASP, GSP, CIH or CHMM/ ST/CHMM/ CHMP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of the EHS site improvement plan.
• Develop, implement, and audit safety programs to ensure compliance with safety regulations and HSMS.
• Assist EHS Manager with OSHA compliance reviews and incident investigations to determine root causes.
• Support ISO 45001 management systems and maintain safety training programs.
• Promote a positive safety culture and communicate safety information to employees.
