Job summary

J&J Snack Foods is seeking an EHS Manager to lead health and safety programs, ensure OSHA/EPA compliance, investigate incidents, train staff, and develop policies to reduce hazards at the Weston, Oregon plant.

You will partner with HR for safety onboarding, monitor hazards, analyze incident data, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining regulatory requirements. This role focuses on protecting the wellbeing of the team and ensuring a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety or a related field OR 3–5 years’ experience as a safety manager or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards.
• Experience writing policies and procedures for health and safety.
• Proficient in MS Office and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Monitor removal of hazards (bio, physical, chemical) from the workplace.
• Provide safety training on policies, regulations, and procedures.
• Advise on safety compliance for projects and operations.
• Inspect and verify compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records per guidelines.
• Analyze incident reports and trend data to drive improvements.
• Develop new safety policies and training programs.
• Lead employees on safety topics and onboarding.
• Prepare reports on accidents and violations and determine causes.
