Job summary

Sesame Place Philadelphia seeks an experienced Environmental Health and Safety leader to drive compliance with federal, state, and local regulations across wastewater, hazardous materials, air quality, and waste programs. The role includes supervising environmental staff, audits, and recordkeeping, and coordinating with legal/insurance teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in EHS, a related Bachelor’s degree, and proven leadership in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with an Environmental Science, Safety, or Occupational Safety Major preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have five (5) years of related experience and/or training in Environmental, Health, and/or Safety Fields or equivalent specialized training.

Responsibilities

• Oversees management of environmental regulatory programs and company environmental programs.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local laws including wastewater, pesticide use, hazardous chemicals, medical waste, air quality, energy conservation, spill response, underground tanks, solid waste, hazardous waste, and DOT experience.
• Ensures all environmental recordkeeping practices meet state and federal requirements and deadlines.
• Assists with accident investigation program, reviews injury reports, and conducts trend analysis.
• Supervises workers' compensation and general liability caseloads and coordinates claims with legal and insurance contacts.
