Job summary

Ox Industries is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager to lead EHS programs for the paper mill. The role involves coordinating health, safety, and environmental compliance, with the flexibility to wear multiple hats in a small company.

Responsibilities include leading safety investigations, maintaining training records, coordinating audits, and mentoring staff to promote a culture of safety. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; strong background in safety or environmental fields is a plus.
• Minimum three years of experience in EHS or safety in an industrial setting.
• Proven experience leading a team in an industrial environment.
• Strong technical capacity, thoroughness, and good time management.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operations leaders to bring EHS expertise to operations discussions.
• Identify safety or environmental improvements and drive cultural improvements.
• Lead root cause investigations for safety incidents, near misses, and property damage.
• Co-Chair the on-site Joint Safety & Health Committee; guide audits and documentation.
