Job summary

Ox Paperboard WP, LLC in White Pigeon, MI is hiring an Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager. The role focuses on developing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental programs across the paper mill, with a need to wear multiple hats in a small company environment.

The position requires leading root cause investigations, maintaining training records, and driving improvements while ensuring compliance with regulatory deadlines and corporate standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• Minimum three years of experience in the environmental or safety field.
• Proven experience leading a team in an industrial environment.
• Effective communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operations team leaders to bring EHS expertise to operational discussions.
• Identify safety or environmental improvements and drive culture and relationship improvements.
• Co-Chair the on-site Joint Safety & Health Committee and manage audits and documentation.
• Maintain safety training documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee environmental compliance programs including permits and reporting.
