Job summary

OX Paperboard WP, LLC in White Pigeon, MI is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager to develop and manage all EHS programs for the paper mill. You will balance priorities, lead cross-functional teams, and drive compliance with regulatory and corporate safety standards.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on industrial leadership, strong communication, and ability to mentor hourly staff while advancing safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives across operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is not required but preferred.
• Minimum three years of previous experience in the environmental or safety field preferred
• Proven experience leading a team in an industrial environment
• Effective communication skills both written and verbal; strong computer skills (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operations team leaders to bring EHS expertise to operational discussions.
• Identify safety or environmental improvements and drive cultural/relationship improvements.
• Accountable for root cause investigations and timely corrective actions for safety incidents.
• Co-Chair the on-site Joint Safety & Health Committee and oversee audits, documentation, and training.
• Mentor hourly staff on EHS requirements and promote a culture of safety.
