Job summary

Radiant is an El Segundo, CA-based startup building portable nuclear microreactors. We are seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to own the strategy, development, and execution of EHS programs across multi-site manufacturing and operations.

The role partners with engineering, manufacturing, and facilities to identify hazards, reduce risk, and embed safety and compliance into daily operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, safety engineering, industrial engineering, environmental science, or related field.
• 5+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing, industrial, or regulated environments.
• Experience building and implementing EHS strategies and programs.
• Deep knowledge of OSHA/Cal-OSHA, fire safety, hazardous materials management and environmental compliance.
• Ability to lead as the primary EHS owner in a lean, fast-moving organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop Radiant's EHS strategy and ownership of implementation roadmap.
• Serve as OSHA/Cal-OSHA compliance authority across sites.
• Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs (IIPP, Hazard Communication, Lockout/Tagout, etc.).
• Lead safety trainings and define PPE requirements.
• Oversee hazardous materials management and environmental permits.
• Lead incident investigations and root-cause analyses.
• Partner with facilities and shop-floor teams to embed EHS in daily operations.
