Job summary

RIE Coatings, Inc. is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer to lead environmental compliance and workplace safety initiatives across our manufacturing facilities in three states.

This on-site role travels 25–35% and focuses on regulator compliance, risk reduction, and building a culture of safety. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, OSHA/EPA knowledge, and the ability to manage permits, reporting, and investigations while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering/-science field.
• 3–5 years of EHS experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations including RCRA, CAA, CWA, EPCRA, SPCC.
• Experience with environmental permitting, regulatory reporting, hazardous waste, and incident investigations.
• Wastewater knowledge is preferred.
• Experience in metal finishing, plating, coating, anodizing, or related chemical processes is a plus.
• OSHA 30 certification required; HAZWOPER 40, CHMM, REM, CSP, or ISO 14001 experience a plus.
• Willingness to travel 25–35%.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHS programs across multiple manufacturing locations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and other regulations.
• Manage environmental permits, reporting, and inspections.
• Oversee hazardous waste, wastewater, air emissions and chemical management.
• Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, incident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Develop and deliver EHS training for employees.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering to improve safety and environmental performance.
• Track EHS metrics and drive continuous improvement.
