Job summary

A. O. Smith Corporation is seeking an EHSS Manager to design, implement and oversee environmental, health, safety and sustainability programs at the Franklin, TN facility.

The role focuses on improving safety performance, regulatory compliance, and incident investigations across a large manufacturing site. The candidate will lead EHSS activities, manage metrics and budgets, and mentor team members while interfacing with stakeholders and external regulators to ensure safe operations and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• 5–7 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing facility.
• 1–2 years of leadership experience preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and regulatory interpretation skills.
• Knowledge of US EPA, OSHA, DOT, SSHA and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and oversee EHSS programs and systems.
• Manage EHSS activities including audits, investigations and reporting.
• Direct management of workers' compensation claims.
• Maintain EHSS metrics, records and communications.
• Manage EHSS vendors, expenses and budget; represent facility on EHSS Council.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
