Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety.
• Current knowledge of regulations like US EPA, SSHA, DOT, OSHA.
• Experience in guiding less experienced EHSS professionals.
• License expected.
• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
• Experience leading larger-scope EHSS projects or projects across multiple plants.
• Guidance of less experienced EHSS professionals.
• Excellent general problem-solving skills.
• Current knowledge of US EPA, SSHA, DOT, OSHA, etc. and ability to interpret them to ensure compliance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Managing EHS activities for a plant or multiple locations.
• Managing or supervising a small group of employees or indirectly managing employees across multiple sites.

Primary Function

The Environmental Health and Safety Manager will implement, oversee, and adapt policies and programs to improve the organization’s environmental and safety performance, ensure compliance with current and future regulations, and protect its reputation. The role provides leadership by developing strategies for effective environmental, health, safety, and security programs for the facility.
