Job summary

RayzeBio in Indianapolis is seeking an EHS Manager reporting to the Director of Health Physics to lead environmental, health, and safety programs for the site. You will ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, IDEM and other authorities; drive a proactive safety culture; manage risk reduction and training; and provide strategic EHS leadership to operations, quality, and engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing, pharma, biotech, radiopharma, or similarly regulated environments.
• Experience leading EHS programs, audits, incident investigations, regulatory reporting, training, and corrective action.
• Knowledge of OSHA G1/G2, EPA/IDEM environmental requirements, hazardous waste management, industrial hygiene, emergency preparedness.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and continuous improvement of site EHS policies, programs, and management systems.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, IDEM, IDHS, DOT, NRC/AS, and other EHS requirements.
• Serve as site EHS SME and business partner to Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Facilities, and Supply Chain.
• Lead risk assessments, industrial hygiene evaluations, safety inspections, and program audits.
• Own investigations of incidents, near-misses, spills, and environmental events; drive root cause analyses and corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs, onboarding, and emergency response training.
• Manage environmental compliance programs (hazardous waste, air emissions, wastewater, chemical management).
• Prepare and submit reports to OSHA, EPA, IDEM, IDHS; support regulatory readiness.
• Lead emergency preparedness activities and business continuity coordination.
• Establish and track EHS metrics and communicate results to leadership.
• Promote safety culture through committees, gemba walks, coaching, and campaigns.
