Job summary

Evapco Midwest is seeking an EHS Manager based in Greenup, IL (with occasional travel to Newton, IL). You will lead the design, deployment, and continuous improvement of EHS programs across the Midwest facilities.

The role requires coaching a direct report, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering measurable safety performance improvements. You will collaborate with shop floor teams and corporate EHS to align strategies with business objectives, develop training content, and monitor KPIs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience leading EHS in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in an EHS related field (preferred).
• Systems-based thinker who can architect sustainable EHS programs with management system principals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Auditing experience and action-plan development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy a strategy/roadmap for maturation of EHS programs at site level.
• Apply lean manufacturing and EHS management system principles to drive scalable implementation.
• Serve as SME on OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA, Workers Compensation topics.
• Collaborate with site operations and corporate EHS.
• Coach direct reports and develop talent in EHS program deployment.
• Conduct EHS program audits and recommend corrective actions.
• Facilitate incident investigations and develop root cause corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver EHS training for various programs.
• Provide regular status updates on EHS KPIs to site leadership.
