Evapco in Greenup, IL, seeks an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to support environmental programs, occupational health, and industrial safety. You will identify, develop, implement, and lead improvements in EHS practices while ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and Evapco requirements.

You will assist with programs, provide leadership to employees, and report to the site EHS Manager. Strong communication and team collaboration are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Formal education in an EHS-related field.
• 5+ years of safety experience in heavy industrial manufacturing.
• Certifications such as CHMM or ASP are a plus and can be earned within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Support safety programs, plant-wide inspections, and corrective action closure.
• Assist with accident investigations to determine root causes and preventive actions.
• Maintain EHS documentation and regulatory reporting; coordinate with insurers.
• Develop safety training and communicate tools to improve performance and compliance.
• Monitor regulatory requirements and ensure alignment with company objectives.
