Job summary

Sensient Technologies Corporation in Amboy, IL is seeking an EHS Manager to lead all Environmental Health and Safety activities, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws and within Sensient internal EH&S standards. The Manager will serve as the subject matter expert for development, implementation, and leadership of Sensient EHS planning programs for the facility.

Qualifications

• A minimum of five years of EHS experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Experience in food manufacturing or chemical industry preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of products

Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert in Amboy for EHS reviews, investigations, training, internal audits/metrics, health and safety committee, and the PSM program.
• Monitor EHS compliance activities at the Amboy location through auditing, reporting, metric implementation, incident tracking and investigation.
• Lead the development and execution of an Environmental Health and Safety strategy to improve safety performance, reduce accident/injury/illness incident rates and control workers compensation costs.
• Serve as the facility lead for development, implementation, and execution of activities for environmental, health, and safety permits, compliance, and annual budget.
• Own environmental reporting (stormwater, air emissions, hazardous waste, wastewater).
• Assist in regulatory compliance (DOT, emergency planning, clean air act, etc.).
