Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. in Jackson, TN, is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Manager to lead site EHS programs and ensure regulatory compliance on site.

You will translate corporate EHS requirements into site systems, drive safety initiatives, and partner with corporate leads on audits and improvements. Requires a health and safety degree and 5–7 years of manufacturing or regulatory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health and safety or environmental sciences (or equivalent).
• Certified Safety Professional or equivalent preferred.
• 5–7 years of experience in industrial manufacturing or regulatory government environment.
• Detailed knowledge of OSHA, EPA and other environmental, health and safety standards.
• Leadership experience in a high accountability, metrics-driven culture.
• Strong leadership voice with skills in communication, organization, presentations, and project management.
• ISO14001/18001 experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manages development, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive environmental, health and safety programs for the Jackson plant.
• Leads compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Translates corporate EHS requirements into site-specific goals and management systems.
• Partners with corporate EHS leads to implement audit program requirements and resolve findings.
• Interacts with regulatory agencies and liaises with plant management on regulatory issues.
• Directs site to achieve EHS targets; supports EHS goals for leadership and supervisors.
• Oversees audits, corrective actions, and reporting of audit results to Director of EHS.
• Ensures OSHA standards compliance including hygiene, LOTO, NFPA 70e, confined space, and more.
