Job summary

Sterling Foods is seeking a Safety Manager to drive a strong safety culture across its San Antonio facilities. The role partners with supervisors to implement safety programs, conduct training, and lead accident investigations to minimize injuries and costs.

You will oversee OSHA compliance, safety audits, and worker's compensation strategies, while maintaining safety manuals and leading safety orientations for new hires.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 3+ years in Safety Management.
• Experience in consumer packaged goods or related industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a zero-accident safety culture through engagement, training and oversight of safety committees.
• Develop safety programs and track leading indicators, ensuring OSHA compliance across facilities.
• Coordinate with brokers and carriers on claims; manage OSHA 300 log for multiple locations.
