Job summary

Sterling Foods is seeking a Safety Manager to lead safety initiatives and partner with plant leadership in San Antonio. The role focuses on building a zero-accident culture, implementing training, and ensuring regulatory compliance across facilities.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, 3+ years in Safety Management, and 5+ years of leadership experience, with preference for CPG industry experience. Strong communication and bilingual abilities are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Safety or related field.
• Minimum 3 years' Safety Management experience.
• Minimum 5 years' leadership experience.
• Experience in consumer packaged goods preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Manufacturing Plants to create a zero-accident safety culture through engagement and training.
• Develop and implement safety processes, metrics and behavioral safety programs.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and maintain safety manuals and OSHA 300 logs.
• Conduct annual facility audits and follow up on audit items and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with broker and workers' compensation carrier on claims.
• Provide first aid as needed and oversee contracted security staff.
