Job summary

A. O. Smith is seeking an experienced EHS professional to design, implement and oversee EHSS programs at our Franklin, Tennessee facility. You will lead EHSS performance, audits, investigations, waste management, and regulatory compliance across federal, state and local requirements.

You will manage workers' compensation claims, mentor staff, and collaborate with vendors and internal teams to maintain a safe, compliant operation and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Occupational Health & Safety/EHS field required.
• 3-5 years related EHS experience in manufacturing.
• 1-2 years leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of applicable regulations (US EPA, OSHA, DOT, etc.).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement and oversee EHSS programs, procedures and systems.
• Manage EHSS activities including audits, investigations, and reporting.
• Direct management of workers' compensation claims.
• Maintain EHSS metrics, record keeping, and communications.
• Manage EHSS vendors, expenses and budget.
• Represent facility on EHSS Council.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
