Job summary

Danone U.S. is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager for our West Jordan, Utah site.

The role reports to the Senior Plant Director and leads EHS across safety, security, health and environmental programs to create a safe workplace and minimize environmental impact. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of manufacturing EHS leadership, strong knowledge of OSHA/EPA regulations, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in a 24/7 plant environment.

Qualifications

Minimum 7 years of experience managing effective EHS programs within a manufacturing environment.
Must be knowledgeable with OSHA and EPA regulations.
Ability to support a 24/7 manufacturing environment as business needs dictate.
Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

Develop Safety, Security and Environmental Compliance Programs.
Create and support EHS vision used by all workers to understand safety policies.
Lead the development of risk assessment methods to identify and reduce hazards.
Ensure training systems meet facility needs and OSHA/EPA requirements.
Manage resources to lead and support the safety systems.
Develop safety metrics using IWS tools and coordinate with facilities and corporate teams.
Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
Create, audit and implement programs for permitting and compliance (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
Participate in Process Safety Management, Environmental Reporting, and Waste Management.
