DSJ Global seeks an experienced EHS Manager to lead and modernize its safety, health, environmental, and corporate security program at a major on-site facility in Virginia. You will drive regulatory compliance, conduct investigations, and oversee safety operations with executive visibility.

You will manage a team of safety professionals, implement KPI-driven improvements, and ensure alignment with OSHA, NFPA, and DOT standards while supporting a technology-forward utility environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Business, Security Management, or related field.
  • 7–10 years of EHS experience, preferably in electric utility.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive audits.
  • Preferred certifications: Certified Utility Safety Professional/Administrator, Advanced Safety Certificate, First Aid/CPR.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and continuously improve all company-wide EHS programs, policies, and initiatives to ensure full regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as the organization’s SME on OSHA, NESC, DOT, NFPA and related regulations, representing the company with authorities.
  • Direct accident/near-miss investigations using Root Cause Analysis and translate findings into training and policy improvements.
  • Conduct safety audits, develop Emergency Action Plans, and coordinate with local emergency services.
  • Own safety reporting, KPI tracking, recordkeeping, and government submissions.
  • Manage and develop the Safety team and occupational health/safety consultants; maintain a visible presence across locations.
  • Oversee corporate security, fire, and life-safety systems, plus the disability management program.

Location / Work Model: Manassas, VA - Fully on-site

Compensation: $147,600-$180,400 base + incentive plan | Relocation assistance available

A leading regional electric distribution utility serving 180,000+ homes and businesses is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead and modernize its entire safety, health, environmental, and corporate security program. With best-in-region reliability and a strong investment in smart-grid, fiber, and mobile workforce technology, this is a high-visibility leadership role reporting into executive management.

What You'll Do
  • Lead, manage, and continuously improve all company-wide EHS programs, policies, and initiatives to ensure full regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as the organization's subject matter expert on OSHA, NESC, DOT, NPGA, NFPA, and related regulations, representing the company with governing authorities.
  • Direct accident/near-miss investigations using Root Cause Analysis and translate findings into training, work-method, and policy improvements.
  • Conduct safety audits and assessments, develop Emergency Action Plans, and coordinate with local emergency services.
  • Own safety reporting, KPI tracking, recordkeeping, and submissions to government entities.

What You'll Bring
  • 7-10 years of related EHS experience; electric utility experience highly preferred (fiber, oil, or gas also considered).
