Job Overview
We are seeking an EHS Manager for our Work Dynamics business to join one of JLL's key global accounts. As a senior member of the JLL Americas EHS team, you will implement and manage EHS programs across multiple account locations, ensuring employees and subcontractors return home safely. You will lead EHS risk management, promote a proactive culture, and provide timely counsel on EHS matters.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
- Performance Management
- Implement global EHS strategic objectives and ensure operational relevance.
- Provide guidance on EHS risk management and communicate legislative changes.
- Maintain Hazard/PPE Assessments, regulatory compliance registers, and risk assessments.
- Develop training matrix, manage online training, and report accidents and incidents.
- Serve as account administrator for JLL AIMS.
- Leadership and Culture
- Foster a culture of safety and develop the EHS team.
- Lead investigations of EHS events, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Build relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Standards and Compliance
- Maintain JLL regional EHS controls, processes, and standards.
- Ensure compliance with the Operational Compliance Program.
- Implement safety protocols for contractors and vendors.
- Support environmental compliance per MSA/SOW.
- Client Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Conduct localized client meetings and feedback sessions.
- Drive innovation and change management.
- Team Development
- Attract, develop, and retain a talented team.
- Provide coaching, career and succession planning.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience developing, implementing, and managing EHS programs.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in safety management, industrial hygiene, environmental science, or related field (degree may be waived with ≥7 years experience or EHS certification).
- Strong track record of EHS management within operational systems and corporate clients.
- Experience managing EHS across multiple sites and countries with knowledge of major market regulations.
- Recognized professional EHS qualifications and memberships.
- Project‑management skills for balancing multi‑site activities.
- Broad knowledge of Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health regulations and internationally recognized EHS systems.
- Experience with management system development, implementation, and auditing.
- Experience implementing EHS technology platforms and data‑management tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Proven record of presentations and training.
- Ability to interface effectively with peers, colleagues, and clients.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10 + years of experience or EHS professional certification for senior manager level.
- Working knowledge of real‑estate tools and risk management across complex multi‑site portfolios.
- Experience solving EHS issues in a dynamic/diverse environment.
- Agile leadership within matrix structure.
- Strong business acumen and orientation to measurable results.
- Analytical and creative problem‑solving skills.
- Strong cultural awareness, ethical standards, and collaborative mindset.
Location & Travel
- On‑site, with travel to various operations sites (estimated 20 %–40 % travel).
- Locations: New York, NY; Seattle, WA.
Compensation
126,600.00 – 155,000.00 USD per year.
