Job summary

Compulink is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to partner with operations, engineering and facilities in designing risk reduction strategies aligned with OSHA regulations and industry standards.

The role focuses on developing and managing EHS programs, coordinating training, and leading KPI-driven reporting to site leadership while ensuring regulatory compliance and safe manufacturing practices.

Qualifications

  • BS in EHS, Science or related field preferred with 3+ years in manufacturing.
  • OSHA regulations knowledge and annual compliance training experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with operations, engineering, quality and facilities to identify hazards and correct unsafe conditions.
  • Develop and manage site EHS programs (HAZCOM, LO/TO, EAP, PPE, PIT).
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state health and safety regulations and maintain required records.
  • Coordinate site EHS training and lead KPI reporting for monthly site leadership reviews.
  • Lead site audits and inspections of EHS programs.

Summary:

The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager operates as a business and operational partner who understands manufacturing processes, identifies injury exposures, partners with supervisors and managers, and leverages OSHA regulations, engineering principles, and industry consensus standards to design and implement effective risk reduction strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Partners with operations, engineering, quality and facilities teams in the identification and correction of hazardous behaviors and conditions through the completion of detailed process hazard analyses.
  • Collaborates with site teams to develop and manage site Hazard Communication (HAZCOM), Lockout/Tagout (LO/TO), Emergency Action Planning (EAP), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) and other EHS programs.
  • Develop and support environmental compliance programs including both hazardous and non-hazardous waste management
  • Coordinator of site EHS training program including HAZCOM, LO/TO, EAP, PPE, Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and other safety policies/procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state health and safety regulations by ensuring necessary records are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines.
  • Participate in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) inspections, providing inspectors with appropriate documents and identifying measures.
  • Prepare presentations including leading and lagging key performance indicators (KPI) for monthly EHS reports to site leadership
  • Coordinate and lead site teams in the completion of routine EHS audits and inspections
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • B.S. in EHS, Science or related field preferred with a minimum of 3+ years if experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with OSHA and annual compliance training strongly preferred
  • Strong communication, organization and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Critical thinking skills
Physical Demands:
