Job summary

Copeland seeks an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Supervisor for its El Paso Distribution Center. You will lead and continuously improve EHS programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, risk management, and safe operations on a daily basis in a hands-on warehouse setting.

You will partner with site leadership, train employees, conduct audits and investigations, and drive a culture of safety ownership across the facility. Strong OSHA knowledge and bilingual English/Spanish are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Science, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or industrial environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing OSHA compliance programs and safety management systems.
• Experience leading incident investigations and implementing corrective action programs.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and warehouse/distribution center safety requirements.
• Professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, CHMM, OSHA 30-Hour Certification.
• Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or CBSL initiatives.
• Multi-site EHS support experience.
• Experience managing environmental compliance programs.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve EHS programs to ensure OSHA/EPA compliance and safety excellence.
• Serve as site SME on EHS matters and partner with leadership on safety strategy.
• Promote proactive safety culture through engagement, training, and committees.
• Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections to drive corrective actions.
• Lead investigations of injuries, near misses, and incidents with root-cause analysis.
• Develop and administer EHS programs, policies, and regulatory records.
• Ensure training for employees, contractors, and visitors on safety requirements.
• Manage environmental compliance activities including hazardous materials handling and waste management.
• Support projects to identify and mitigate EHS risks before implementation.
• Monitor and report EHS metrics to leadership; brief on trends and improvements.
• Lead emergency preparedness programs and coordinate with local authorities.
• Participate in corporate EHS initiatives and cross-site sharing.
