Job summary

Acara Solutions is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager in Portland, OR. This direct-hire role leads site EHS programs, ensuring OSHA compliance and managing chemical safety, hazardous materials, and emergency response.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in EHS within chemical manufacturing or semiconductor environments, with strong incident investigation and root-cause analysis skills, and collaboration with PSM teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or related field.
7+ years of progressive EHS or industrial safety experience.
7+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing, semiconductor environments.
7+ years of experience with safety programs, JHAs, risk assessments, incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

Lead site EHS programs, audits, JHAs, risk assessments, and compliance.
Ensure OSHA and environmental regulation compliance; manage chemical safety and emergency programs.
Lead incident investigations including root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
Collaborate with Process Safety Management teams on PHAs, MOUs, and drills.
Maintain production-floor presence and drive EHS training and continuous improvement.
