Job summary
Kanto Corporation in Portland, OR is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead site safety, occupational health, and environmental programs in a chemical manufacturing setting supporting the semiconductor industry. This hands-on leadership role collaborates with Production, Engineering, Facilities, QA, HR, and PSM to strengthen safety culture and reduce risk.
Expect to spend substantial time on the production floor, mentor supervisors, lead monthly Safety Committee
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety or related field.
- 7+ years of progressive EHS experience in regulated industrial environments.
- Experience managing safety programs, inspections, JHAs, and incident investigations.
- Working knowledge of OSHA/Oregon OSHA requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead site EHS programs, policies, and safe-work practices.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA/Oregon OSHA and environmental regs.
- Maintain EHS documentation, records, and inspections.
- Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Partner with operations leaders to enforce safety accountability.
