Job summary

The Jackson Laboratory seeks an experienced EHS leader to independently develop and administer comprehensive safety programs across the Laboratory. You will lead inspections, investigations, and corrective actions, while engaging with research, facilities, and leadership to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor's in OH&S or related field (Master's preferred) with extensive experience in incident investigation, regulatory compliance, and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• 5 years of EHS experience; 7 years preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Preferred CSP/ASP/GSP/CIH/CHMM or equivalent credential.
• Experience leading regulatory inspections and audits.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers complex EHS programs with minimal oversight.
• Leads regulatory inspections and audits; briefs leadership on exposure and remediation.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, local regulations and internal standards.
• Researches best practices and recommends program improvements.
• Designs and delivers employee training; mentors EHS staff.
