Job summary

Georgia‑Pacific is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager for its Spartanburg, SC corrugated packaging facility. You will own the site’s EHS strategy, lead a fast‑paced manufacturing team, and drive a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.

You will report to the Director of Operations and collaborate with frontline leaders, engineers, and employees across the facility to maintain regulatory compliance and safety excellence. This role offers growth within Koch companies.

Qualifications

• Experience in an EH&S role in a manufacturing, industrial, or military setting
• Experience with OSHA standards and EH&S regulatory compliance
• Experience conducting incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions
• Experience leading safety training, conduct audits, and management of compliance documentation

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction to achieve a proactive EHS culture through management engagement and employee ownership.
• Align plant‑level safety and environmental programs with enterprise vision and regulatory expectations.
• Manage and maintain environmental permits, documentation, and compliance reporting (air, stormwater, etc.).
• Lead risk assessment processes to proactively identify and address hazards—enhancing hazard awareness and minimizing risk.
• Champion a strong safety culture through mentoring, coaching, and collaboration across all levels.
• Build and support EHS training and development systems that ensure continuous learning and regulatory compliance.
• Facilitate the safety committee and change management processes, helping the team respond effectively to evolving safety standards.
• Serve as the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies.
