Job summary

OSI Group is seeking an experienced EHS leader to drive the safety culture across Tipton, with oversight at Kokomo and Morristown facilities. The role requires guiding a safety team, implementing programs, and ensuring compliance with PSM and environmental regulations.

The ideal candidate has extensive manufacturing safety experience, strong collaboration skills, and a track record of effective incident investigations and corrective actions. Travel is expected between sites around 20%.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in related field preferred.
• 7+ years in progressively responsible safety and environmental roles in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of governmental safety regulations and their impact on operations.
• Clear, effective communication with all levels of the organization.
• Problem-solving and policy implementation experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead the EHS culture and ensure facility compliance with regulations and corporate standards.
• Oversee EHS Specialists at Kokomo and Morristown; travel ~20% between locations.
• Hire and performance-manage the safety team; supervise 1-5 employees.
• Coach employees to achieve best-in-class EHS performance.
• Lead incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Develop risk-reduction programs, training, and engagement initiatives.
• Coordinate with Corporate EHS on programs and policies.
• Communicate EHS metrics from shop floor to senior leadership.
• Lead complex projects to anticipate, evaluate, and control hazards.
• Assist with workers' compensation investigations related to EHS.
• Prepare environmental permits and reports for regulatory agencies.
• Ensure compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM).
• Represent OSI during inspections; guide plant safety personnel during audits.
• Contribute to standard work for hourly safety teams.
• Follow safety procedures; educate and train staff accordingly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
