Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive's Hill's Pet Nutrition in Emporia, Kansas is hiring an EHS Coordinator reporting to the Director of Manufacturing. You will ensure health and safety of plant employees, the surrounding community, and the environment, while enforcing federal/state regulations and corporate EHS standards.

You will coordinate plant personnel and external contractors to improve safety, efficiency, and team performance.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
5+ years in manufacturing or EHS environment.
Proficiency in SAP, Google Workspace and Excel.
Ability to work rotating/non-standard schedules.

Responsibilities

Budget Management: Formulate and assist in managing the EHS budgets for safety programs, PPE, medical supplies and environmental services.
Program Ownership: Oversee site-wide environmental and occupational health programs including hazardous/solid waste, wastewater, first responders, forklift safety and medical monitoring.
Risk Mitigation & Compliance: Conduct Job Hazard Analyses and provide appropriate PPE to address hazards.
Incident Lifecycle & Reporting: Document and track incidents using SAP Incident Management and prepare EHS reports.
Audits & CI: Lead internal/external EHS audits and drive continuous improvement.
Stakeholder & Vendor Collaboration: Build relationships with regulators, vendors, and partners to deploy new EHS standards.
