Job summary

A fusion energy company based in Knoxville, TN, is hiring an Environmental, Health and Safety Officer to lead the development of the ISO 45001 Health and Safety Management System. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of safety leadership experience and a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety. Responsibilities include overseeing compliance with OSHA regulations, conducting training, and fostering a proactive safety culture. This is a permanent, full-time position with competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in a safety leadership role, preferably in manufacturing or engineering.
• Experience in environmental, health, and safety training in industrial environments.
• In-depth knowledge of ISO 45001, EHS regulations, and relevant EHS standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of the ISO 45001 Health and Safety Management System.
• Oversee federal and state OSHA compliance and other regulatory EHS requirements.
• Conduct and coordinate hazard analyses and provide safety leadership during stellarator builds.
