Job summary

Fresh Mark, Inc. is seeking an experienced EHS professional to lead environmental, health, and safety initiatives at our Canton, OH facility. You will partner with operations to integrate safety priorities into daily practice and manage regulatory compliance and risk programs.

The role requires strong communication, audit and incident investigation skills, and the ability to drive corrective actions across shifts. Our team focuses on continuous improvement and a safe, healthy workplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Safety Science, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate conditions, behaviors, and processes that may cause injury, illness, environmental impact, or property damage.
• Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments, and compliance audits involving equipment, materials, and operating processes.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve EHS programs, procedures, and practical controls.
• Partner with operational leaders to establish regulatory and risk-reduction objectives and integrate EHS expectations into the workplace culture.
• Monitor compliance with applicable safety, health, and environmental requirements and communicate regulatory changes.
• Develop and deliver effective employee training, including lockout/tagout, hazard communication, hearing conservation, emergency procedures, machine guarding, and other applicable topics.
• Lead or support incident and near-miss investigations, identify root causes, and help ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Monitor employee and operational compliance with established EHS programs and provide coaching for improvement.
• Guide facility Safety Committee activities and participate in compliance teams, including safety, regulatory, and process safety management initiatives.
