Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Safety Science, Safety Technology, Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene or related field.
• Strong organizational and verbal & written communication skills.
• Strong leadership and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Recognize hazards and identify conditions or actions that may cause injury, illness or property damage.
• Conduct inspections and audits to assess safety and health risks.
• Provide employees with knowledge and skills to recognize hazards and work safely.
• Assist managers to establish regulatory objectives and safety programs.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental regulations and monitor changes.
• Provide training on topics such as lockout/tagout, hazard communication, hearing protection, emergency procedures, machine guarding.
• Participate in the accident investigation program.
• Monitor employee compliance with safety programs.
• Lead Safety Committee activities and support compliance teams.
