Job summary

Perrigo seeks an engaged Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager for our Covington, Ohio manufacturing facility. The role leads safety culture, cross-functional teams, and continuous EHS improvements on the plant floor.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s in a related field and 7+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing, with strong root-cause analysis and regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of progressive EHS experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in food, consumer products, pharmaceutical, or highly regulated manufacturing environments is preferred but not required.
• Experience implementing and managing EHS management systems.
• Experience with environmental reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead Safety Culture & Employee Engagement: champion a culture where safety is integrated into every decision and activity.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: collaborate with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Human Resources to drive sustainable solutions.
• Drive Investigation Excellence & Risk Reduction: lead injury and illness cases from initial reporting through case closure and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Lead Risk Assessment & Hazard Identification: facilitate proactive risk assessments and lead GEMBA walks with leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Ensure Regulatory Compliance & Audit Readiness: lead internal and external EHS audits and maintain records and permits.
• Training & Development: develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees and leaders.
• Security Program Leadership: provide leadership for the site's third-party security services and on-site security operations.
