Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Lead to develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive EHS program at our Austin facility. You will champion safety, drive compliance, train employees, identify hazards, and drive continuous improvement while fostering a strong safety culture.

The role requires leading site-wide EHS initiatives, conducting JHAs, maintaining records, and ensuring OSHA compliance in a dynamic manufacturing and technology environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting Environmental Health & Safety programs in manufacturing/industrial settings.
• Understanding of OSHA regulations and workplace safety requirements.
• Experience with record keeping, safety documentation, and compliance tracking.
• Exposure to Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) development and implementation.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Self-starter mindset with a passion for safety and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work independently and influence a positive safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement site-wide EHS programs, policies, and safety initiatives.
• Conduct JHAs and risk assessments for facility operations.
• Maintain EHS records, training docs, inspections, and compliance reports.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and environmental, health, and safety regs.
• Lead employee safety training programs including onboarding and ongoing education.
• Coordinate and track certifications and training such as CPR, First Aid, AED, forklift safety.
• Perform routine facility inspections and safety audits to identify improvements.
