Amgen in Cambridge, MA seeks an EHS Manager to lead site contractor safety and high-hazard work programs at the AMA process development site. You will translate EHS requirements into practical site processes, review permits and risk controls, coach teams, and use audits and data to strengthen controls and close gaps.

You will collaborate with EHS colleagues on site priorities, serve as a client representative for process development labs, and lead program ownership across facilities,

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent EH&S experience as a baseline.
• Experience leading diverse teams and influencing management.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with program development experience.
• Technical writing skills and proficiency with office software.
• Experience applying AI tools responsibly with oversight.

Responsabilités

• Lead site contractor safety oversight and review work plans and permits.
• Own and maintain high-hazard work programs (LOTO, confined space, hot work, etc.).
• Interpret Amgen standards and identify gaps with risk reduction actions.
• Participate in project planning to ensure EHS considerations are included.
• Conduct field inspections and audits; engage workers in risk discussions.
• Provide training and coaching on hazard recognition and permits.
• Support incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain program documentation and track metrics for site health.
• Foster partnerships with laboratories, facilities, engineering and security.
• Represent site in governance and continuous improvement activities.
• Act as EHS client representative for process development laboratories.
