Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field.
• 0 Years Safety or Environmental Experience
• Able to work well in a team, detail oriented, and strong computer skills. Knowledge of key programs related to Federal/State requirements (PIT, Material Handling, Lost Time Injuries, TRI).
• Excellent communication, people skills, and working knowledge of safety/environmental programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examine the work environment for physical, chemical, biological and environmental hazards.
• Define corrective actions to reduce health hazards and improve worker safety.
• Evaluate areas for hazards and recommend improvements or PPE requirements.
• Assist in interpreting OSHA standards and maintaining relationships with OSHA.
• Develop and conduct safety training for supervisors and employees as needed.
• Provide technical expertise on day-to-day processes, changes, new facilities or equipment.
• Implement controls to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Maintain Safety and Environmental Policy documents and update as needed.
• Conduct safety/environmental compliance audits and regulatory reviews.
