Job summary

The Hershey Company is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety intern for the Reese Plant in Hershey, PA, for Summer 2027. The intern will gain hands‑on manufacturing EHS experience, support risk assessments, incident investigations, compliance activities, and improvement projects under site leadership guidance.

Responsibilities include hazard identification, OSHA interpretation support, data analysis, and collaboration with EHS and Operations teams to implement risk-reduction initiatives.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in EHS or related field.
• 0–2 years of EHS‑related experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the work environment for various risks and hazards.
• Support incident investigations and assist with corrective actions.
• Perform hazard assessments of work areas and tasks.
• Assist in interpretation of OSHA standards/regulations.
• Participate in routine safety and environmental compliance activities.
• Assist with EHS training and communications materials.
• Complete at least one defined EHS improvement project and present results.
