Job summary

RENK America is seeking an EHS Intern to support regulatory compliance, safety assessments, and safe workplace initiatives within the manufacturing environment. The role provides hands-on experience assisting the EHS team on site in Muskegon, MI.

The candidate should be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety or a related field, have strong communication skills, and be comfortable with Microsoft Office applications.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field at an accredited university.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Junior or Senior level.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for the EHS team to ensure a safe working environment in compliance with government regulations and company policies.
• Review and update EHS policies, procedures, and forms.
• Help develop safety procedures, checklists, forms, and training materials.
• Assist with plant safety programs, root cause investigations, hazard identification, and safety audits.
• Assist with environmental waste tracking and reporting.
