Job summary

Voltava is seeking an EHS Intern to assist the Environmental, Health, and Safety team in maintaining a safe and compliant manufacturing environment. You will gain hands-on exposure to safety practices, environmental compliance, training coordination, incident investigation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities include supporting daily EHS activities, developing training, conducting safety observations, and assisting with incident reporting and reporting metrics.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of environmental, health, and safety principles and regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities while following through.
• Collaborative mindset with problem-solving skills in a hands-on environment.
• Self-motivated, curious, and proactive with guidance as needed.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications for data and reporting.
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support daily EHS activities through clear communication and teamwork.
• Assist with development and delivery of EHS training programs for staff.
• Participate in safety observations, audits, and facility walkthroughs; document findings and track actions.
• Assist with incident reporting, investigations, data collection, and EHS reports.
• Support safety countermeasures, emergency drills, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
• Participate in Safety Team meetings and track action items and follow-ups.
• Assist with chemical awareness, inventory monitoring, and waste handling.
• Support environmental reporting related to land, air, water, and ISO 14001 activities.
• Maintain accurate EHS records and training documentation.
