Job summary

Sherwin-Williams in Romeoville, IL seeks an EHS Manager responsible for developing and maintaining a culture of safety, health, and environmental excellence across the site and CTS Fleet, ensuring DOT, OSHA and EPA compliance.

You will lead safety training, incident investigations, regulatory reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives, with travel up to 10% and a bonus plan related to performance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and lead Safety Team and Driver Safety Meetings
• Oversee all logging regulations and verifications, including re-audits of log discrepancies
• Support Human Resources in interviewing and safety determinations and DOT requirements
• Develop and implement safety and health training and awareness programs under regulations
• Maintain regulatory reporting, recordkeeping, and monitoring (OSHA, EPA, FMCSA and DOT)
• Investigate and report all accidents and incidents with follow-ups for corrective action
• Provide timely reports/audits to management and oversight as required
• Develop and implement safety and environmental programs for a safe workplace and policy compliance
• Integrate risk control into daily operations
• Promote safe actions among all staff
• Administer CTS incentive and award programs
• Coordinate location safety, occupational health, and fire protection projects
• Ensure employees trained in safety, lift truck operation, Hazard Communication, respiratory protection
• Participate in professional development to improve safety competencies
• Intervene in emergencies to minimize risk to life and assets
• Ensure compliance with workers' compensation laws
• Ensure policies comply with regulations for CTS Fleet
• Develop programs to reduce injuries, illnesses, and losses
• Coordinate employee safety and health programs at the site
• Respond to safety and health questions and concerns
• Maintain employee and management involvement
