Job summary

Bechtel Global Corporation in New Albany, OH, seeks a senior EHS leader to drive process improvement, learning, culture, and safety performance across the project lifecycle.

You will partner with project management, construction, engineering, quality, supply chain, and M&T Global Business Unit EHS to strengthen governance, field execution, and workforce wellbeing, implementing the EHS Management System throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related discipline with 13+ years of experience, or 17+ years without a degree.
• Experience supporting ESH programs in large engineering, procurement, construction, or manufacturing environments.
• Working knowledge of EHS management systems, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Ability to analyze performance information and communicate with project and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide project leadership for EHS process improvement, organizational effectiveness, learning and culture.
• Establish methods to evaluate EHS program effectiveness.
• Evaluate implementation of EHS policies, core processes, and regulations.
• Lead or support audits, assessments, and field verification; identify corrective actions.
• Develop practical improvement plans addressing findings and risks.
• Facilitate problem solving, lessons learned, and cross-project improvement.
• Prepare executive reports, dashboards, and implementation resources.
• Standardize EHS practices with project-specific adaptations.
• Develop role-based curricula and train-the-trainer programs.
• Integrate mental health, wellbeing, and resilience into EHS programs.
