Job summary

Bechtel Global Corporation seeks an ES&H-focused professional to support learning from incidents, data capture, root cause analysis, and Six Sigma initiatives on the Thacker Pass project. The role collaborates with engineering, construction, procurement, and project controls to address ES&H requirements and drive continuous improvement.

The candidate will lead investigations, prepare incident reports, and assist with training and program development, ensuring regulatory compliance and safety

Qualifications

• Experience in Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H), industrial safety, construction safety, or related disciplines.
• Experience leading incident investigations and conducting root cause analyses using methodologies such as 5-Why, Why Tree, Barrier Analysis, or similar tools.
• Experience with regulatory compliance, auditing, corrective action management, and safety performance metrics.
• Experience managing databases, analyzing safety data, and identifying trends for continuous improvement.
• Experience developing and delivering safety training programs. Strong technical writing, reporting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Previous experience on large construction, mining, industrial, or infrastructure projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance in ES&H disciplines to facilitate Bechtel's ES&H program and management system.
• Assists in development and maintenance of safety programs, procedures, and environmental protection measures.
• Maintains ES&H databases including incidents, audits, findings, and corrective actions.
• Performs statistical analysis of ES&H data to identify trends and improvements.
• Leads in risk assessments, mitigation planning, and monitoring of ES&H issues.
• Prepares communications, reports, and documents for program execution and records retention.
• Assists with incident notifications, leads investigations, and prepares investigation reports.
• Recommends improvements to processes to minimize hazards and supports training and emergency preparedness.
