Job summary

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. seeks an Environmental Specialist to partner with facility management and direct, implement, monitor, and manage key environmental, health and safety issues within and around the manufacturing site.

The role includes developing and administering EHS programs, conducting regulatory audits, training staff, and advising leadership on compliance to mitigate risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences or Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Environmental, Health and Safety.
• Knowledge of EPA SWPP, SPCC, Tier II, Title V, NPDES and company EHS policies.

Responsibilities

• Support development, management, and implementation of EHS programs, policies and procedures, compliance and safety trainings.
• Administrate and maintain air, water, waste, and chemical activities and compliance programs.
• Perform environmental regulatory audits and advise on compliance with state, local and federal regulations.
• Investigate on-site incidents and property damage and follow up to minimize future exposure.
• Advise on compliance issues and report violations to EHS leadership.
• All other duties as assigned.
