Job summary

SK hynix America is seeking an Environmental Specialist to establish an environmental management system from the ground up. You will create robust frameworks for waste segregation, water monitoring, and air emission controls that exceed legal requirements.

You will also design a proactive regulatory intelligence system to update chemical handling standards and environmental policies, ensuring compliance with domestic and international trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of EPA regulations (RCRA, Clean Air/Water Acts).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in EHS management with at least 1 year focused on Environmental systems, permitting, and design review in U.S. industrial, manufacturing, or commercial environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end process of waste management, including segregation, collection, and disposal of general and hazardous waste.
• Monitor water pollutants and conduct chemical analysis to meet environmental standards.
• Manage air emission systems to ensure compliance with regulations and internal standards.
• Track regulatory trends to inform internal environmental management policies.
• Develop and enforce chemical handling standards from procurement to disposal.
